After a "long blreak", it was time to get back to business... I had missed out on the past few posts, as the computer i was using was badly damaged... so, now, i am using an alternative.
Today, was another NAPFA test, the one that is regarding fhysical fitness. Well, it started out quite good for me, but it turns out that I was third in the pull-ups. With three, it was extremely pathetic. It only became pathetic losts for a few friends who just turned 15 a few weeks ago.
The rest of the stations were quite reasonable, with me gaining between three to five points. But, as it turns out, I missed the Silver Award which I had been eyeing for the past three years or so. The Standing board jump, my weakness, for this time, i managed to pass, but pathetically, by Just 1 Pathetic centi-meter... That won me an E grade. I was hoping for a C...
As for now, tomorrow is the last of the test, of which is the most demanding of all. The 2.4KM run. The final frontier awaits, as I take a short 10 hour break from now...

Girl Power???
Basically, the unexpected happened... With a minority of girls doing things we did not really expect them to do...
One example is, this morning.during recess, I was gone only for a while, and the next thing I saw when i came back, I heard people kicking soccer. However, what I noticed was that, I was the only boy in the classroom(where were all the boys?).Then, at the usual corner, were two girls playing soccer!I thought, what the heck are they doing with the ball?
Siang Lin and Caderina were actually passing the ball? And, Caderina's strength, was so much greater than me(a disgrace to the boys)! I never imagined that a dancer could have such strengh! The thing that I noticed, was that, they were much more reckless than us boys.
Well, that was the only thing that I can remember after 9 hours(call that short term memory loss). The were other events I think, but I just can't get them out onto the screen.
Actually, it's quite fascinating to witness such bizarre occurences. Maybe, I could capture more of these when I bring my camera to school after the examinations? Well, maybe, maybe not. So far, there has been quite an increase in these things too. Last year, things were much more extreme, but this year has just begun, so it's not really the timeto start comparing things yet.

Visit to NTUC Eldercare...community service just the way I like it!
Today's the day. Actually it was optional for me to turn up at the gathering point, but I still went on. It's sort of a rare experience, you don't know when will the next chance come.
Simple, we got lost after making it to the first checkpoint. Well, two girls who were well-versed with the area led the way, though... It was quite an easy walk, with a few familiar sights which I took note of during the last time I walked past that was 2 months ago. Well, one year has passed, but, it seems like nothing much has changed at the day care centre, except for a couple of new faces.
There was some last minute preparation( which I did not expect), however the end product was near perfect. It was great. Instead of the planned three songs, we sang 5... except that these 5 are Chinese folksongs. basically, the runners of the show, who really made it a success were Sean and Damien. If not for them, everthing would be dull, as it was starting to get obvious as it progressed into spare time. However, I did manage to spot a few crying faces during our performance, though I was not looking at them directly. Something tells me that they are very lonely there, or that they were touched by our performances.
There was an excersie session for the elderly, which was quite fascinating to share. Damien had to think of many intriguing steps within such a short period of time. Quite the great effort he put into this. Well, at least he manged to help the facillitators bring forward an excercise session for the day.
Finall, the best part of it was that we got to interact with the old folks there(something I had been wanting to do, but din't have the courage to). It was really a time-killer! i knew many things about them, and the daily routines there. They would be sent there early in the morning, between 7.30 and 8 am, and would be picked up at 5 pm. Sometimes, they would even go on group tours! How great can that be? Well, anyway, I have to speak up more often... could start in school first. Andy, stilll did most of the talking...
Anyway, there's another test coming on tomorrow... so, I guess it's up to here then.

The Opening ceremony of Jurong Town Lake...
That was yesterday. Instead of doing what I was sent there to do, I was was sent to pack the refreshments... only to get injured... Well, they were there performing alright. Too bad I was confined to a small "jail" for 3-odd hours. I was just like a machine, unpacking water cartons with little rest. Next time, I guess that I'll just turn on deaf ears should there be another round in future. I should have let the other group do the dirty work... Anyway, it was quite a good place, the waterfront, the cycling tracks and all, just that, I may not have the chance to go there after graduating from secondary school... As I burnt three hours of the total 4 there, there was not much to do, so that was it. I had expected more...
