I seemed to have made it, but...

Seems like I had bot been posting for quite sometime huh.Alright, today, it is then. Let's just have a little recap... June Holidays, slacking at home... built one of those gundams, Strike Freedom, Lightning Edition, not successful, as I broke the circuit for the hands, chest, and legs. So, now after that, we come to term3, a whole new school term.

Back to 26 June, 2006, Monday. A long line of announcements, Tuesday, another long list, but with some good news, too, as Miss Lim was awarded the "Most Caring Teachers" Award. Next few days, intensive training just for that 5 minutes today...

Over the past 3 days, everything was fine, just that I kept forgetting the commands, and that worse of all, I did not know that those commands did not really existed!

So, today, gathered at 6.30, all uniforms ready, full strength, everyone was ready for the 5 minutes. 7.15am, Parade begins. Darrens heads off the parade with much seriousness. As for me, I,too was prepared, but fearful. Everything went fine, only until I was turning the contingent to face the front. Damn. I forgot the command... Anyway, I still went on with the shorter version, not knowing that Mr Hon had actually whispered the command to me... Everything went on fine for the next 3 minutes, but, once again, the last 2 minutes, I screwed up,indirectly, in the sense that I was saying the wrong command that was deemed correct, and was taught by a senior. But, nonetheless, not many people noticed it, except for a teacher, who, helped me to correct my mistake after everything. It was then I noticed that my commands were 90%, or around there, practically wrong. Anyway, what's past is past, no one could turn the clock around anyway, so, just let it be. There's going to be another 2 parades soon, so, why not let this be a "practice"? Above all, the good thing is, I seemed to have broken free of my oyster shell... just in time for flag day tomorrow...another 5 hours added to my already 40++ hours accumulated over the last 2 years.

To end it off, everyone did their best, and it's the best of our efforts that count...

Just Walking around

This morning, was the start of a very unexpected morning. Well, woke up at 8.10 am, changed, had breakfast as usual, went to catch the bus at 8.35 am. Just as expected, reached school at 9.10 am (30 minute journey).

However, when I first entered the school by the gate I usually took, I did not realise that I was actually walking straight into a construction site!I was so used to walking this path, I did not even notice that there was something strange about the route. The school was going through PRIME, and the last time I ebtered the gate, there were still students walking through that gate. However, today, the gate was Out-of-bounds to all, except those who were working at the site. SO, that was when I bumped into Gabriel and Edward, and we walked into the school via the side-gate together. Anyway, today was the preparation of the Drama performance for Teachers' Day.

The script was indeed interesting. The story was actually bout this student,Anthony(main character), who did not do well for the recent common test, which he studied so hard, even to sacrifise his participation at the National Robotics Competition, which his would-be team mate, Chris(supp. character), came in second place. He was teased by his friends on the way home that fateful day, and at the same time disappointed that he would not please his father with his excellent grades which he had achieved since Secondary one. However, at the Meet-the-parents Session the next day, he finally cleared his father's mis-understandings and eventually gained his father's support in his dream of being a mechanic. My role is Mr Chua( character), Anthony's father, who's not very concerned with his son's well-being, but hopes to pave the way for Anthony's future.

After that, I went with Randall to the new CC in Boon Lay. Well, he wanted to enroll for guitar courses, but it seemed like the prices were high. It's that way if one wants to learn the arts.

After that, we adjorned to the new library. Quite big, with facimiles similar to the Jurong Regional library. There, we met Wei Ling, Xiu Wei, and Jerena at the Math corner of the library.

At around 12 noon, the both of us went over to Jurong Point to take a look at some things. He went to a Christian shop, while I went to Comics Connection. I was not taking a look at the comics, in fact, i was more interested in the GUNDAM modelling kits. They were bout the same price to those at West Mall, but this branch sold the complete set of the Strike. On the way down, spotted a girl "looking" at a restaurant menu. In actual fact, she was hiding from Randall and I . She is Carina. So, in all I met 4 friends, either with together, or with other friends or with family.

So, I went home at around 12.15 pm, reaching at around 12.50 pm. That's all for now, and I also noticed that I had not posted for quite some time too...
