Reminiscence of the Past...
Well, only managed to meet my P6 form teacher. She hasnt changed much though, but I had so much to tell within such a short period of time, all accumulated over three years. I have yet to meet another two, who I did not manage to run into...
All in all, my sole purpose was to get in touch with Primary School life once again(so that I could imagine myself being 8 years younger once more). Played catching(Quite C, though) with my brothers' friends, and this really helped me to remember the time when I was only 7. However, the ambience was tarnished, Pei Xuan, my neighbour who had stopped me earlier at the main gate, said that I was doing something real lame?
Alright then, it was time to go at 9pm, and now, at 11.10 pm, here i am, writing this. Maybe tomorrow, I will be sending a mail to my teacher again, possibly emptying everything I stomached over the past three years, after I return from my Mathematics remedial at 11.30 am...

Freedom
Lets just do a little recap, shall we?
YESTERDAY:
Only 1BIG thing hapened yesterday, that was, Mr Liew "exploded" again in class yesterday, and ended the lessons 10 minutes ahead of schedule... He said that he will not bring anything today, which was not carried out in full.Well, that was the thrid, without me knowing what exactly was the cause, after the first time when he vented everything on Hui Jun,the next on the majority who never handed in their homework, and now, this.Hopefully, this would really be the last, for each time he flares up, it increases in intensity. However, if in any way I had contributed to his anger, I would like to apologise.
Today:
Things are gonna be quite long for this one... Classmates signed plaster cast this morning, as it was going to be destroyed later in the afternoon. Well, they drew anything and wrote almost anything... That really spiced up my morning. Bio lesson. Free Period. I had wanted to return to class to do physics revision! But since we had to move as a class, the attempt was foiled as a result of a fight in in the neighbouring class. That was Andy's first successful attempt to solve a conflict today, as president of the 20th Students' Council. What actually happened? No need to add on. Maths test, lets hope that i managed to get a pass...
Bell rang at 2.15 pm sharp. I was actually struggling to pack up, since the appointment to check my cracked left elbow was at 3:00 pm. Siang Ling took a snapshot of the cast, whcih was really the last thing to remind me of the plaster. Thanks! I realy did not have another chance to take another photograph after that, though.
Finally, at 4.45pm, the plaster cast was history. It was hacked in half...sadly, i forgot to remove the dangling piece of acrylic on the front which I was trying to remove, since the start of the day.Worse, I also forgot to tear off the piece of tape on the plaster which my friends had drew on, for it resulted in the tape getting dmaged as well... lastly, i forgot to request for a bag to keep to cast(momento)...
As for now, I arm's free again, but the pain's still there, since it has not 100% recovered yet...it's just "recovered sufficiently for the plaster cast to be removed"...
TOMORROW:
I am going to be a commander again, after close to a term and a month's break...

Best NE tour ever!
However, everything was about to ake a change for the better. It seems like the ten lucky students were not so lucky after all... The 34 students, together with 2 guides and 1 teacher were going on a bum boat ride along the Singapore River! Isn't that great? It's my first time, to be exact...
The tour was really good. There were small, minor hiccups along the way, but that never hampered the tour, although there was a slight delay.
The 10 main points of the tour( from the least attractive to the most):
10-Great bus, red and yellow, even had seat belts! The ride was really silent, especially the engines which hardly made any obvious rumbling, the only thing was the chatter of classmates at the rear.
09-Met 3E2 and 3E3 at China Town and Kampong Glam coincidentally.
08-It was close to the closing time to visitors at the Sultan's Mosque after the boat ride at Boat Quay. Seems like we made it in time to get to see the interior of a mosque.
07-It was close to Depavali,so Little India was undergoing a make over to prepare for it.
06-Found out a lot about Little India, Chinatown,Kampong Glam and the central Business District. They ranged from knowing where each location really was, since they are now just a few roads and streets away from one another.
05-The guides, and not to forget, the bus captain,of course!Without them, would the trip have been a great and memorable one?NO!
04-Yes!A small chance to catch the Singapore Biennale...
03-The barricades were removed near Suntec Singapore, making it a breeze to get a better view of the nice flowers along the road sides.
02-There were only 36 of us touring, so what's the difference without the ten VIPs?
01-Yes, you guessed it. The boat ride was certainly the "special edition" and "Hot spot" of today's tour. That could be why it costed S$800 for such a great tour, don't you think?
One last thing, though, is that many more attractions were covered than required. This is the next thing why the tour was so great. However, to cut a long story short, we saw many attractions today, learning every bit we could about them...And as for the quotes, there's one,"make more friends of other races and religions". Finally, this trip has left me wanting for more. maybe we could go again next year? Yes, but maybe not go through everything all over again, to save costs.

Forbidden City: painting the portrait of an Emperess
1.45pm, boarded a small bus, leaving with 30++ people for the esplanade. Arrived at 2.39 pm, with Ms Ker, teacher-in-charge headind for the counter to collect the tickets.
Entered the theatre at 2.55 pm, with the 13 of us taking the seats on the second floor. Ms Ker and the others had a better view, being at the first floor. My seat was somewhere in the second circle.
3.06 pm. Start of show. The lights got dimmer every 10 seconds, until it was close to total darkness. I wont say so much, as time is running out. It was about Kate, an artist who went to China to draw a portrait of Emperess Cixi. Well, there were many high, as well as low moments throughout the musical. One quote, though, : a portrait is a two- way thing" or something like that, which I cant remember, since it's close to 10 hours ago. Another one, "Journalists alter the truth".
Comments. Well, It's a musical worth watching. There's subtitles! First time I saw subtitles in a musical. Cheography was great, especiallywhen they change scenes without you noticing what was going on with the change of characters. I think there were 3 back drops in all, and the stage was really big.Music wise, though traditional, it had a mix of modern music in it. I liked the ending most, for it was the part where there was really great choreography made to the finishing touches of the musical...all in all, Damien, you should have gone for the musical! There were many good ideas you could really put into your script for the cultural nite!
Can't say much now... Have to go... maybe I would write more soon.

A tribute to The crocodile Hunter
This is an abstract from an online news portal"World-famous Australian "crocodile hunter" and television environmentalist Steve Irwin has been killed by a stingray blow to the heart while filming a new documentary.
The larger-than-life Irwin, 44, known for his fearlessly enthusiastic handling of even the deadliest of wildlife, was killed when a stingray barb punctured his chest during underwater filming on the Great Barrier Reef.
"He came over the top of a stingray and the stingray's barb went up and went into his chest and put a hole into his heart," said the ebullient Irwin's longtime producer John Stainton, who was with him at the time."
This message was sent to me by a msn contact:
This is a recent "campaign" held in rememberence of Steve Irwin.
This all you have to do:
As a sign of respect for the Australian tural icon, please place a turtle ( tu ) at the start of your name
Basically, I feel that this is a great loss. He has done so much, but yet, the most people could do was to watch his programmes...seems like I will never get to meet him in person again...
What's important, is that he left the world doing what he loved doing, although his death was sudden and ironic. It's also sad to hear that he left behind his young kids and wife, who still have a long way to go together...

over the weekend
Went to Comex yesterday. Went to Simei by car, before taking a train ride to Expo. Well, there was a lot competition going on among the various computer companies... found many great deals for Portable eternal hard disk drives. There was even a S$99 deal for a Sumsung 80 GB HDD, which was sold out by the time we reached there. Eventually, bought one that costed S$128.My brother also got to buy a 1GB thumbdrive at S$41.We came across many innovative gadgets too. Take for example a solar battery charger, the world's smallest thumb drive,USB fan and a 8mB MP3 player, priced at just $3! Found a booth that sold a basic desktop computer for less than S$1000. We were sooooooooo close to getting a powerful, reliable laptop with excellent graphics too, but since its price was a few hundred above the budget, decided to check on it a few years later.
Today:
Just returned from St. John Ambulance Brigade Annual Brigade General Inspection. I never expected myself to be among those selected for a short quiz for this year. I was drinking water, when suddenly the Mcee came beside me, asking for my name and all... at first I had the thought that he was actually checking whether I was the person he was looking for. But, it seemed so, and I was asked something which I was going to ask him. Question: what is the zone's colour? Well, I checked with Darren, and answered it...
Parade segment, well, not many people were really listening to the speeches. I noticed many people, including myslef, counting the number of contingent members sho fainted. There were "good scenes" and bad ones too, with the most dramatic being with one who walked a few steps and fell. A total of 68 fainted, of which 25 were from the supporting contingents and 15 were from the Guard of Honour contingent. 9 stretchers were called in.
March-past. Just look at those gaps! Well, here were not many gaps, although some were very obvious. Overall, great experience, and I hope to bring a stopwatch next year, to see the time intervals between the falls, and the total lengh of the parade. In fact, we were seeing which flag bearer would be the first, for that would never happen, since officers had a much higher stamina than the cadets.
